An urban cellular game designed to encourage cycling in the city, by chasing dynamic waypoints with vague directions.
How does it work? Participants receive waypoints based on their current physical location and are challenged to ride to their next point as fast as they can. When they arrive at a waypoint, cyclists meet with others and can ride together to the next destination to receive extra points. The system is able to detect, in real time, the location of each cyclist and their distance from the group, and can manage the game and reward players accordingly, quickly and accurately. This prototype was developed to encourage physical activity and social interaction in an urban environment.
